Where you come when you are bitten by the craft bug

My name is Heather and I am a craftaholic. I am also a procrastinator, so many of my crafts just live in my head! Hopefully this blog will give me an outlet for all my ideas and help someone else cure their craft bug bites.

Vanity ReVamp

Photobucket
When we moved our daughter from her nursery to the room upstairs, we bought her a vanity. She loves anything girly and we thought she would love it. I remember as a little girl always wanting one!

I bought it new at Target, when we purchased it; it was all white with just the knob on the drawer pink. How boring! I had gotten a free quart of paint from Glidden when they were running a promo a few months back. The color I ordered was Pink Lemonade. Luckily, it ended up matching the pink on the drawer knob almost perfectly!

So I painted around the mirror and I also painted the top of her seat. Grace loves butterflies, so I cut out a large one from my Cricut and decoupaged it to the top. Then I cut a G out and decoupaged it to the seat. It gives it just enough personality to not look boring, but isn’t over the top either.

Materials:

Vanity and stool purchased from target

Scrapbook paper

Paint

Mod Podge

Total cost:

Just for the revamp maybe a dollar!

The vanity was a little more expensive!
